Biography
Ruth Barz went into counseling to provide an environment in which clients can experience healing through new relational experiences and an understanding of how their past affects their present, while also emphasizing the choices clients have about their future. Ruth has a variety of career and life experiences which enable her to walk alongside clients in many different situations. Ruth loves incorporating faith into the counseling experience when clients want this. She believes that brain health is very important as people face daily challenges in their life. In her free time, Ruth enjoys hiking, playing tennis and pickle ball, spending time with her family – especially her grandchildren, and traveling.
Saying Goodbye Well
by Ruth Barz, tLMHC
If we are honest, most goodbyes involve some type of grief. We may be seeing that person tomorrow or weeks from now, but there is some sadness that the goodness of our present time together is over. Goodbyes for any reason can be hard to know how to handle, but with the right tools goodbyes can be both happy and healthy.
