Support Group: Caring For Parents Of Transgender Children

The divide between the Biblical view and cultural view of human sexuality grows wider every day. As the volume of secular opinions gets louder, many Christians struggle to discern what their response should be to such hot-button topics as transgenderism, especially when that topic hits close to home.

When your own child questions their gender, what do you say? What should you do? How can you help them develop a Biblical perspective?

Foremost, know that God is good and gracious – even when you are confronted with uncomfortable topics and don’t know what to do.

Join Cassie Beltz, LMHC, a Mental Health Therapist here at Lutheran Family Service, as she leads an online group aimed at offering support and encouragement for parents who have a child that is struggling with gender identity confusion or have a child that is transgender.

Even though your child may be confused, you can have hope in the assurance that God created your child in His image!
