I’m a dreamer.  I live in Iowa.  I’m sure there are others like me here.  I dream of getting a good education and maybe a career.  I dream of having a vocation and even starting my own business.  I dream of getting married and having a family.  I dream of contributing to this country, this land of immigrants, this land of the free.

I’m a dreamer.  But there are those who do not understand me or my dreams.  They do not think I have a right to be here let alone pursue my dreams.  But I did not choose to be here.  My mom and dad are responsible for that.  Does no one see my innocence?  Why should I be punished simply because some people do not want me around?

I’m a dreamer. I have a right to be born and pursue my dreams.  The unborn are dreamers too.
