Bethany Kuhlmann, DCE, is one of our amazing ministry workers on the Lutheran Family Service team!

Bethany serves on the Congregational Services team impacting the lives of youth as well as congregation and community members throughout Iowa. She is a certified Director of Christian Education (DCE) with an emphasis in family and holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

When asked why the work she does with Lutheran Family Service is important, Bethany said, “I get to talk about very important and tough subjects with youth like social media, dating, and even depression. I feel like it opens up the door for more discussion at home with parents and even with the adults who attend a WHOSE UR event.”

This mission of Lutheran Family Service’s congregational services team is to equip individuals and communities with Christ-centered, life-changing tools, resources, and hope to meet the challenges they are facing. These tools and presentations are developed with thoughtful research and care reflective of the current culture and societal landscape.

“I feel like Lutheran Family Service chose me. My initial meeting with LFS blew me out of the water, and I knew I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work at such an amazing place,” shared Bethany.
