Miriam’s biological mother reached out to Lutheran Family Service knowing she needed to place her unborn baby for adoption.
The biological mother was drawn to Ben and Lauren through their profile book and was confident they were the right ones when she met them before the birth. Ben and Lauren had one daughter at the time they entered our program. They were overjoyed when they were matched and chosen.
At the match meeting, Ben and Lauren shared they wanted her first name to be Miriam because of the Hebrew meaning is “wished-for child.” And then about a month later, they learned they were pregnant and welcomed a baby boy into their family a few months after Miriam was born.
Miriam was an answer to a Ben and Lauren’s prayers. Ben and Lauren were an answer to the birthmother’s prayer when she found out she was pregnant.
