Sue Shields, LMHC, provides mental health and marriage counseling to the Council Bluffs area. As a licensed mental health counselor, Sue specializes in helping individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, anger management, bipolar disorder, emotional disturbance, life transitions, self-esteem, stress and more. Other specialties include pre-marital counseling and marriage counseling.

“I became a therapist so that I could help others and be a healing presence for them during their most difficult personal circumstances,” shared Sue.

When asked why she chose to join the Lutheran family service team, she said, “God put LFS in my path. That faith means that each day I believe that God will be with me and help me to always act with others best interests at heart.”
